Victim, directed and produced by Bahman Radan from a screenplay by Sara Moradi, joined the official selection of the fifth Human-Environment Care Film Festival in Canada.

Victim enters the HECFF 2024 programme

The festival’s 2024 edition is scheduled for 26–28 September in Ontario. Its programme brings together films concerned with human rights, environmental protection and the effects of human activity on animals and the natural world.

Victim enters the programme with a story centred on a child’s effort to protect the family’s goat during Eid al-Adha. The film places the boy’s attachment to the animal against his father’s decision and the weight of inherited practice.

The creative team

Bahman Radan directed, produced and photographed the film. The screenplay is by Sara Moradi, with editing and colour grading by Zahra Radanfar and music and sound design by Siavash Beigi. AD1 FILM produced the project in Türkiye.
