Victim joined the official selection of the ninth Cefalù Film Festival — Premio Pino Scicolone in Sicily, Italy.
A Sicilian stage in the film’s festival route
The festival is organised by Fondazione Scicolone and brings short films from different countries into its selection and awards process. At the time of this announcement, Victim’s confirmed status is Official Selection.
The result adds Cefalù to the film’s 2024 festival path without extending the announcement beyond the stage confirmed by the organiser.
The film
Directed and produced by Bahman Radan from a screenplay by Sara Moradi, Victim follows a boy who tries to prevent the family’s goat from being sacrificed during Eid al-Adha. His bond with the animal places him against his father’s authority and an inherited ritual.
Zahra Radanfar edited and colour graded the film, while Siavash Beigi created the music and sound design. AD1 FILM produced the project in Türkiye, with international distribution by IranFilmPort.
