Set against the backdrop of one of the world’s pioneering climate-focused film festivals, Victim finds new relevance within a global platform dedicated to environmental storytelling and urgent narratives of change. Known for spotlighting films that inspire action toward a greener, more sustainable future, the festival offers an influential stage for voices that challenge, provoke, and unite audiences around environmental responsibility.

Since its debut, Victim has steadily built momentum across the international festival circuit, drawing acclaim for its powerful storytelling and poignant reflection on compassion and conscience. Set against a rural landscape, Victim follows a young boy’s quiet rebellion as he attempts to save a goat marked for sacrifice during Eid al-Adha. Through its intimate narrative and powerful performances by lead actors Ramazan Uzun and Ramazan Öğüt, the film poses universal questions about innocence, empathy, and the courage to challenge ingrained traditions.
