Victim Advances to the Top 100 at Three Acts of Goodness 2024
Victim advanced to the Top 100 of the 2024 Three Acts of Goodness International Microfilm Contest.
Public voting follows the Top 100 result
The selected films will enter an online public-voting stage from 15 to 31 May 2024. According to the contest rules, audience engagement will contribute to the next phase before the jury evaluation scheduled for August.
The contest, organised by Buddha’s Light International Association, invites short films developed around doing good deeds, speaking good words and maintaining good thoughts.
Compassion as an act of resistance
Victim, directed and produced by Bahman Radan from a screenplay by Sara Moradi, follows a boy who refuses to accept the planned sacrifice of the family’s goat. His attempt to protect the animal brings compassion into direct conflict with obedience.
The official selection and voting information is available on the organiser’s voting page, with the 2024 process set out in the official contest terms.
