Victim Joins the Vegan Çiftlik Film Festival 2024 Selection
Victim, directed and produced by Bahman Radan and written by Sara Moradi, joined the official selection of Vegan Çiftlik Film Festival 2024 in Türkiye.
A story aligned with the festival’s animal-rights focus
The short follows a boy who tries to prevent the family’s goat from being sacrificed during Eid al-Adha. The adults see the animal through ritual and tradition; the child sees a living companion whose life he wants to protect.
That conflict places the film within a programme concerned with animal freedom, human responsibility and the ways cultural habits shape the value assigned to other living beings.
The film team
Bahman Radan also served as director of photography. Ramazan Öğüt and Ramazan Uzun appear in the principal roles. Editing and colour grading are by Zahra Radanfar, with music and sound design by Siavash Beigi.
The film was produced in Türkiye by AD1 FILM and is distributed internationally by IranFilmPort.
