ANNOUNCEMENT
Cefalù Film Festival — Premio Pino Scicolone is a short-film competition connected with the Scicolone Foundation in Sicily. Its annual call is built around a defined theme and a compact running-time limit, giving the selection a clear identity rather than accepting every kind of short film without context.
For the 2026 edition, the festival focuses on comedy and sentimental or romantic themes. Eligible shorts may run up to fifteen minutes, and films in languages other than Italian are expected to carry Italian subtitles. A selection jury determines the finalists before the main award decision.
The prize structure recognises both the film as a whole and individual areas of craft, including directing, acting, screenplay, animation and original score. The main winning short receives a cash prize, while additional distinctions broaden the competition beyond a single top award.
