Bahman Radan was born on 20 Bahman 1366 in a small family in Bijar, Iran.
As a child, Bahman experienced a great tragedy when his beloved mother died when he was only 12 years old.
Despite the difficult circumstances, she found the strength to take care not only of herself but also of her younger siblings, who were left alone after her father’s remarriage.
Bahman was an ordinary man when his life took an extraordinary turn in the year 2014. It all started with a single thought of wanting to become a better person and make the world a better place to live. He felt curiosity fill his veins, a curiosity to make a difference.
He took a leap of faith and decided to become a vegetarian and also became an environmental activist in a bid to save the planet from destruction. He had an enthusiasm for life and wanted to inspire others to make the same change.
His motive is not only to promote his thoughts and ideas by creating these films but also to assist those around him to make the most out of life and become the best version of themselves.
He wants to create something that could help spread his thoughts and ideas, a film that could help people to think differently, to be better people, and to help build a better world.
Bahman refused to give up, channeling all of his energy into becoming the best version of himself, no matter the hardships.
He, who had worked all his childhood and youth, despite growing up in a society with considerable restrictions, decided to pursue his personal interests.
Since 2013, he has started Gama Company, Ad1 agency, and Radan Holding and developed his skills in the field of advertising and digital marketing.
Bahman had always been the curious sort. Growing up in Iran, the walls of political unrest and economic turmoil could not contain his innate sense of wonder and exploration. It seemed to him that there was far more to the world than what he had experienced in his own country.
He had an identity, credit, and income in his own country, but the pain and suffering of living in that country were driving him to the edge. So, in the end, he decided to make the brave move and emigrate.
On the day of his departure, he thought to himself that he wasn’t just leaving Iran; he was leaving his old self behind and starting anew. He was no longer the man who was bound by the limitations of his homeland. He was now entering a new phase of his life…
I died, and a new avalanche was born in me, who believed that he could build a better world and a new life for himself and his family.
I said to myself, if I am going to start again from zero, this time I will try to build the life I want and love and do what I love.
But the journey wasn’t easy. As an immigrant, he was often met with humiliation and discrimination in a new land. No matter how much he tried, he couldn’t seem to fit in.
It was then that Bahman decided to change his mental beliefs. He realized that no one could create borders in his mind. He was free to move and explore the world, even if sometimes the world may not be so welcoming.
After immigrating to Turkey in 2016, He chose to believe in the power of his own dreams, Bahman began to create a new life, one that was inspired by new hopes and dreams. He took photography, filmmaking, and directing courses to follow his dreams, even if there seemed to be no chance for him. He developed his skills in writing and directing and started his own filmmaking activity by producing advertising films. In 2019, as a producer and cinematographer, with the cooperation of Turkish directors, he produced short films such as Smile, Smokes, and Cycle. And in 2022, he produced the short film “That also breathes”, This film achieved great success in international short film festivals.
My ambition is to create movies – to encourage mindsets and beliefs and raise public knowledge, which is why I’m never ceasing to upgrade myself and my behaviors to become a more powerful filmmaker so I can craft stories that make people ponder when they watch them.
My aspiration is to create films that can help to raise awareness and shift mindsets, enlighten people, and create films that have the power to motivate and change people.
. My passion for life and nature is the reason why I’m in this industry; hence, I never did I pursue it as a way to make money. I want to use my films to inspire people to take action and strive for green earth, world peace, and general joy.
Bahman doesn’t believe in geographic boundaries, they don’t exist in his mind. He has shown that all people can take the reins of their life and create something beautiful, no matter where they come from.
The mind can make all the difference in the world.
